Howard County is one of the most diverse counties in Maryland. Statistics reflect continued minority growth in the gears ahead. Join local policy leaders, small business owners, and economic development professionals as they discuss small and minority business growth in Howard County and the resources available to them. On Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.,  the Chamber will host a public forum, “Fulfilling the Dream through Entrepreneurship.” The event will feature keynote speaker C. David Moody, Jr., CEO of CD Moody Construction, an Atlanta, GA based minority construction firm who consistently ranks as one of Black Enterprise Magazine top 100 minority businesses. Following the keynote will be a panel discussion on Howard County small business development programs and related initiatives. Confirmed Panelists include:
•    Larry Twele, CEO – Howard County Economic Development Authority
•    The Honorable Allan Kittleman, County Executive – Howard County Government
•    Lou Hutt, CPA, CEO – The Hutt Company
•    Kelly Mitchell, MS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Principal, impactHR, LLC
•    Jetheda Hernandez, Strategic Alliances Outreach Specialist – Minority Business Development Agency

While attendance at this event is free, registration is required so that we may correspond with guests regarding inclement weather conditions.

If Howard Community College is closed for evening activities, the event will be cancelled.

This event will be held in room # RCF400- located on the 4th floor of the Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall
