Hear TOM BRADY and SAWSAN AL-SAYYAB
presenting insightful information about REFUGEES
Tom Brady is the vice-president for development of the United Nations Association of the USA’s National Capital Area chapter and a devotee of the United Nations since his boyhood as a participant in a Model UN program. He has a background in international affairs, as a foreign liaison, in security assistance, foreign military sales, foreign disclosure, base rights negotiations, strategic planning, operations planning, non-profit management and more. Tom recently returned from an assignment to a United Nations Refugee camp in Jordan.
Sawsan Al-Sayyab is the Casework Supervisor at the International Rescue Committee, Baltimore, Maryland Area, with six years of experience in refugee resettlement in Baltimore. She was certified as a Health Interpreter by FIRN, Inc. Her background includes Senior Pharmacist with the Iraqi Ministry of Health over a period of 15 years. Prior to her current supervisory role and casework experiences with IRC, Sawsan was engaged with Iraq’s Ministry of Health, international organizations and non-governmental organizations in the field of humanitarian work in Iraq.
