Nonprofits provide valuable programs and services in the community and have a responsibility to measure and report the outcomes of their programs.   In this course, participants will articulate the desired impact of their mission, learn about the fundamentals of evaluation and learn techniques to identify and measure programmatic success. Participants should come prepared with a program that is in need of evaluation to create a more practical, usable experience. Work firsthand with an experienced program development/evaluation consultant to determine the degree to which you are creating change for the individuals who attend your programs.

Participants who complete this program will be able to:

  • Recognize the catalog of evaluation approaches to be used during program planning
  • Create evaluation strategies that match their program's goals
  • Identify the components of a logic model
  • Use a logic model to articulate a program's theory of change
  • Initiate the development of an evaluation plan which matches the program's intent
