The recent election has created widespread uncertainty and anxiety about what lies ahead. Every indication is that the new administration will make significant policy changes and cuts in federal agencies and programs that could have disastrous results for Marylanders and the organizations that serve them. Coupled with Maryland’s own budget deficits, there is much to be concerned about.

We have asked the delegation to directly address the threats (and any opportunities) we’re facing given the budget situation at the State level and the proposed changes at the federal level. Specifically:

  • What do they see as the potential implications for the issues they’ll be working on in the next legislative session?
  • What can be done to mitigate the potential harm of the situation we’re in?
  • How can the nonprofit community prepare for what’s coming?

We hope you’ll join us for this opportunity to learn their insights and perspective on what we’ll be confronting with the incoming administration and what steps the General Assembly can take to protect the health and welfare of Marylanders.
