Howard County’s budget deliberations have already begun. The Maryland General Assembly Session begins Jan. 8 and as we heard at our meeting with our State Delegation, elected officials are facing tough decisions in the next session. Attend this timely workshop to learn how you can make your voice heard to impact local and State affairs.

Participants will leave this session knowing how to contact County elected officials and state legislators, monitor legislation important to your nonprofit mission, sign up to testify and submit on-line testimony, watch committee meetings and hearings, and more.  Personal computers or devices are necessary as this will be a hands-on session to learn how to navigate county and State legislative websites. Prior attendance at October’s Advocacy 101 workshop is not required.
